NoiseFestival.com steps out of the virtual realm into the retail world - smack bang in the heart of Manchester. Supported by Manchester City Council the NOISE Free Arts Lab takes over an empty retail premises on the city's busiest shopping hotspots. This free and innovative space:

  • Offers creative folk aged 30 and under, registered on www.NOISEfestival.com to sell original work such as clothes, CDs, jewellery, ceramics, photographs and accessories.
  • Licenses work from artists registered on www.NOISEfestival.com, to produce a line of exclusive NOISE prints, postcards, t-shirts, bags and other printed items which will be on sale - which means if you haven't got the backing to get a product on the shelves NOISE will help in get your stuff out there.
  • NOISE will work with a 'Guest Editor' each month who'll re-work the space and bring with them their repertoire of creative contacts and networks who'll chip in to offer advice and guidance, whatever stage you're at in your creative career.
  • Host free creative exhibitions, seminars, workshops, portfolio reviews and other ad hoc events when it takes our fancy.
  • Has a cafe space for you to hold your own meetings, or have a little mid-shop chill whilst linking up to the free wi-fi.
  • Also has a place for little people to get creative.

This unique space, a first for the city, will give invaluable opportunities to young creatives, communities and students to develop skills and embrace new networks. The NOISE Free Arts Lab encourages and empowers creatives to realise their potential and to make an impact in the growing Creative Sector.
