Andrew ‘2 Hands’ Tunney , from Stockport first got involved with NOISEfestival.com when it launched its first festival of young creative talent in 2006. Having exhibited his illustration work at NOISE exhibitions at Urbis Manchester and Magma London he went on to represent NOISE at the 2008 NOISE Launch at 11 Downing Street. In 2008, Andrew was invited to the NOISE ‘Dream Jobs’ launch at NOISE HQ with Chancellor of the Exchequer, Alistair Darling where he sketched a ‘live’ portrait of the MP.
Andrew earned the name ‘2 Hands’ after he taught himself to draw with both hands at once. He says “My work is youth focused, street driven with an eye for couture and is inspired by comics, animation and films. I believe in the power of stories, characters and alternative cultures.”
During the NOISE Lab launch in January, Andrew was invited was more to do a spot of live sketching, this time adding to Mark Wigan and Pete Fowlers Lab creations to adorn our NOISE Lab walls. Andrew’s funky lady is still on the wall of the lab, catch it while you can.
