Artist Brad Downey (Berlin) marks the end of his week-long residency at NOISE Lab by inviting visitors to explore Manchester City Centre to produce spontaneous sculptures. Taking a team across the city they sought inspiring sites or objects to create living pieces of art from, combining balloons with escalators in the Arndale Shopping centre, to toying with bird seed, pigeons and bollards on the main shopping street in the city. Brad uses uses film, sculpture, painting and drawing among other media as he finds forgotten remnants of urban architecture to reinvent and rejuvenate.
