As a result of putting on Don’t Pay To Play for bands and singers, we had lots of interest from DJs, who also want to get involved and perform. So we are putting on an event for DJs, and electronic music based live acts, like Abelton, Traktor etc. As with the bands, DJ's are often expected to sell tickets in return for a slot, and if they don’t sell enough tickets, they don't get to play. There is lots of talent out there that simply, do not have a platform to show what they can do, and this is where we come in.
The first event will be on the 23rd July. 30 minute slots, so be creative! You need to try and fit as much into your set as possible! We will have mentors and promoters on the night, so there will be plenty of opportunity to get seen by people who could potentially help you, or even book you to play. All genres of music welcome, house, techno, dubstep, drum and base, whatever you like!! The Lineup! Martyn Barnes
If you are just looking for some experience of playing out, this is the perfect place to do it. We provide the sound system, all you need to bring is your music, and your mates for some moral support. We will also provide, 2xtechnics 1210's, 2x cdj1000's and a mixer.
