Emma Wyre ![]() At the age of 15 talented NOISE illustrator, Emma Wyre from Blackburn was offered the opportunity to exhibit her work at the 'Stepup' a festival in Manchester which lead to a solo exhibition and appearances for her work at the Cornerhouse and BBC Big Screens in Manchester. After submitting her work to the first NOISEfestival.com showcase in 2006 Emma went on to design promotional flyers for the festival, her artwork appear as part of national marketing campaign, coverage in Sugar Magazine, NOISE exhibitions at Urbis Manchester and Magma London, a city wide poster campaign across Manchester and to top off her whirlwind year of NOISE, she was awarded a NOISE Dream Job work placement. Emma worked with Hollywood Animators (Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride, The Fantastic Mr Fox) Mackinnon & Saunders. Since this year-long work experience placement, Emma has developed a series of prototypes for dolls based on her animation and illustration work. During January Emma attended renowned Illustrator and toy designer Pete Fowlers talk at NOISE Lab, who offered her first hand advice on manufacturing her toys. 'Now, I am 20 years old and so many things have happened since I took part in the first NOISE Festival, that I couldn’t have dreamed of without it! Recently I attended university studying animation, but I am now working on my own projects involving ball jointed dolls. I am also doing freelance and illustration work. :)' A selection of Emma’s canvases, postcards and greeting cards are available to buy at the shop. RATE, COMMENT & SHARE Votes: 40 |
