Make Yourself A Pop Star with Len Horsey

17 February 2010

An interactive workshop that develops your own alter-ego and write your own number one pop hit with artist, writer and performer, Len Horsey.

Len’s work combines a love of narrative, whether written or visual, with a celebration of human imperfection and fakery. Horsey uses a selection of alter ego's in the performance, painting, objects, filmmaking and writing to reveal a paradoxical world that is both challenging and flippant; toeing the line between crass servitude and creative freedom. The guidelines for construction and performance are as rigid as they are bent.
Len’s recent shows include:

‘Unrealised Potential’ Cornerhouse, Manchester. ‘’Title Murdered’, ‘Strange Days & Some Flowers’, The Storey Gallery, Lancaster. ‘Selling the Psycho-Geographical Breakdown’ for Afterhours ‘Subversive Spaces’, The Whitworth Art Gallery, Manchester.
‘The Garrison Project.’ A Book documenting the work and ideas of German Artists Franz Wamhof and Nicole Blaffert. ‘Heartless.’ Short Film. Pylon Pictures.
